Stanley had a fantastic visit to Texas!
Joy and Stanley went to go visit Sand Creek Farm near Cameron, TX where he was snuffled by large black pigs (it tickled!). These pigs eat a wonderful diet of bugs and grass and scraps from the Godfrey family and have a big pond to swim in when it’s [...]
Today was a fun-filled day!
We stopped off at Daily Juice this morning for breakfast. Mmm, chocolate banana peanut butter smoothie…
Then we stopped off to take pictures in the bluebonnets (how cliche, but also how fun!)
And OF the bluebonnets…
Then we stopped by to visit the flamingos.
I swore it was going to start talking to [...]

This week has been a blur, I’ve been so busy running everywhere it’s been hard to keep up. (Yes, I know, I do it to myself)
I went the Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning as I had to get some of the merguez that Kocurek Charcuterie had for sale (oh super noms!) and then head down to [...]

- Tea shop with friends (and free pots of tea).

- The painted-on words-that-sound-like-their-sounds (“OUCH!” “THUNK!” “OOF!” “YIPE!”) and words-that-are-more-exclamations (“holy cr*p!”) each point to a new potential hazard for a cyclist along Harbord Street: a deep crack here, a bump there.
It’s things like this that make me so incredibly happy.

Which then I remembered I [...]
So, we often talk about how I have all the common sense. Except, yesterday, I did not.
Let me start the story in the confused manner that I encountered it myself.
Last night, I puttered until about midnight. I went up to bed and remembered that I had to put my laundry in the dryer and [...]
Last month, at the prompting of an entry of Kyle’s and also a blog I read about things you can do to cut down on waste (one of them being the use of refillable fountain pens instead of disposables), I purchased a Lamy Safari fountain pen and the refillable converter, probably my first in many years. [...]
I’ve been making this granola for a couple days now. (Though, in retrospect, perhaps I should have followed this recipe instead, it seems kind of easier.)
Today I found some pecans in the back of my fridge that I purchased a couple months ago (I know, I should’ve got to them sooner!) and broke out the 5 [...]
