So, yesterday was my birthday and I called my builder up and mention the best birthday present he could give me was to tell me that the house was done and the second best is to tell me when I can set a move date. The house is about 90% done right now; this week they’ve [...] It’s been a busy couple of week..I’m a bit behind on my fun links: - A company that sells specialty bottles and tins and things - How to make tomato conserva – almost like tomato paste, but probably so much better. - Local winery grape stomp and harvest festival – if only I didn’t already have plans! [...] - My trailer, all fixed and working. Hubs and I went out to the property Friday to meet with the guys that were finishing out the inside of the house and take a tour and sign off on the work. It looked fantastic, they really did a great job especially with how picky our builder was in getting it finished out right. They [...] - Takeout Indian Rasam soup for dinner (enjoy it while I can!) Since I’m taking the Sourdough eCourse from Wardeh at GNOWFGLINS, everything is sourdough lately – which is not a bad thing. My family was in town last week and I had built up my starter to make english muffins, sourdough chocolate chip cookies and and pizza dough while they were here (we had decorate-your-own pizza pockets [...] I took my camera out today, but stupidly forgot to charge the batteries before I left, so no pictures today again… They put in the septic system this week. I’ve never seen a septic system, the tank is much smaller than I’d expect. There are three drain pipes in the leach field out behind our shop. The [...] - An article about a guy in Austin who environmentally friend-ily cleans your stinky trash cans. I ordered the service for an initial cleaning to see how they do. Sure we’re moving out soon, but it’d be nice to give the new homeowners de-stink and de-stickified garbage cans. - My friend Manna, who made rum drunk [...] - Graph paper layouts of all our furniture in our new house.
